Lawn Turf in Sale

Fresh cut-to-order premium lawn turf at £4 per square metre, delivered across Leigh ready to lay, or supplied and laid through Barrow Landscaping on properly prepared ground.

More about lawn turf in Sale

Sale has the kind of gardens that suit a proper lawn, big 1930s semi plots in Brooklands and Ashton upon Mersey where a fresh sward makes the whole garden. Our premium lawn turf is cut to order at £4 per m2 and comes down the M60 the next day, so it lands fresh rather than drying out on a pallet. Order about 5% extra to cover the cuts round paths and beds.

A lot of Sale returfing is over that heavy Mersey-valley clay, so the usual job is stripping the tired top layer and bringing in screened topsoil before the turf goes down, or the new lawn just sits wet. Turf wants decent light, so for plots hemmed in by mature trees round Sale Moor and Woodheys, ask us before ordering. Have it supplied loose to lay yourself, or have Barrow Landscaping prep the ground and lay it.

We deliver across Sale and the surrounding area: Brooklands, Sale Moor, Ashton upon Mersey, Dane Bank and beyond (M33).

Do you supply and lay turf in Brooklands?

We do. Supply-and-lay covers the whole of Sale, including the bigger semi gardens in Brooklands, with the ground prep and laying handled for you. Send your measurements and a photo of the plot and we will price the turf supplied, or supplied and laid.

Will turf take in a shaded Sale garden?

Turf wants a decent amount of light. For north-facing plots or gardens shaded by trees, common round Ashton upon Mersey and Sale Moor, ask us before you order and we will give you a straight answer on whether a lawn is the right call for that patch.

What does supplied and laid mean?

It means the whole job is handled, not just the turf. Barrow Landscaping comes out and measures, prepares the ground properly, strips any old lawn, levels it and brings in topsoil where it is needed, then lays fresh turf the day it is cut. You get a finished lawn rather than a pallet of turf to deal with. It is the option most people go for once they see the price difference against buying materials and hiring a rotavator.

How soon can you deliver turf?

Because it is cut to order, we usually need a day or two of notice, and most local turf is delivered or laid the next day once it is booked in. We will give you a firm date when you order rather than leaving you waiting on a pallet that could turn up any time.
